| Designed to give the youth of the area an outlet for their creativity and an educational summer activity, Dwight Main Street introduced Kid's Markets in 2006. These markets were held the second Saturday of each month and ran in conjunction with the Main Street Markets. Children were encouraged to make crafts, baked goods or raise garden produce. This activity gave them a sense of accomplishment and an opportunity to learn what is involved in running your own business. They were very creative and resourceful. This activity will be repeated in 2008 with the goal of having more children participate. |
