Welcome to Dwight

Dwight is a quiet village that boasts many architectural treasures. Here you will see examples of Frank Lloyd Wright, Richardson Romanesque, Greek Classic, Carpenter Gothic and Messkar. You will find artwork by Oscar Gross and Carlos Lopez as well as stained glass windows made by Louis J. Millet, a protogee of Tiffany. Several of these sites are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The small building located to the south of the Depot was formerly the freight office. Here the items shipped over the railroad were recorded. This building is currently home to the Dwight Main Street Program. Dedicated to downtown revitalization and preservation, Dwight became an Illinois Main Street Community in 1999. The building is on "The National Register Of Historic Places."
