The 2007 parade will include lighted floats, bands, costumed characters,  and assorted local
entries.   The Grundy County Sheriff's Rescue Posse  will join us a gain this year and the
Pontiac Red Fez Shrine Club will join us for the first time.

Downtown activities after the parade include lighting of the community Christmas Tree by Mayor
Jim Mixen, caroling, live window displays, free carriage rides, costumed characters, food and
visits with Santa.  Businesses will also be open for holiday shopping.

The highlight of the evening will be a gift certificate give-away.  Thanks to an
anonymous donor 25 people downtown after the parade will receive a $20.00  Dwight
Area Chamber of Commerce Gift certificate for their holiday shopping.

This event is sponsored by the Dwight Main Street Program and the Dwight Area Chamber of

This event would not be possible without the help of many volunteers
and we thank them for their time.

A snow and ice storm forced the cancellation of the 2006 parade.

The smells of hot chocolate, warm cider
and roasted nuts filled the downtown
